The Chandler JAZZ.X Maple Bat features a longer barrel and a medium sweet spot. It also sports a flared knob, Chandler's signature XP finish and a slightly end loaded feel!
This JAZZ.X Model also features a Black XP finish on the handle and a Cerulean XP finish on the barrel. It's also topped off with a Gold Chandler Logo.
Maple is known for being a hard, dense wood which provides very hard/solid contact. In addition, it's longevity makes it a popular choice. The Extra Processing finish Chandler uses during manufacturing is more commonly known as "XP". This innovative process cures the bat for an additional three days and gives it a smooth, glossy finish. Because of the extra processing, the XP finish results in a bat with TWICE the hardness.
The XP finish is designed to fill in the grain and cavities of the wood, which results in an even harder baseball bat. Why does the hardness of the baseball bat matter? The answer is simple. The harder the bat, the farther the ball will travel after impact!
