The CB52 has a medium size handle with a flared knob and long barrel and is a great choice for any serious player. This Chandler CB52 Maple Bat also features a Matte Black XPF finish on the barrel and a XPE finish on the handle. Additionally, this beautiful bat sports a Carbon Fiber Chandler Logo. Maple is known for being a hard, dense wood which provides very hard/solid contact. In addition, its longevity makes it a popular choice. The Extra Processing finish Chandler uses during manufacturing is more commonly known as "XP". This innovative process cures the bat for an additional three days and gives it a smooth finish. Because of the extra processing, the XP finish results in a bat with TWICE the hardness. The XP finish fills in the grain and cavities of the wood, which results in an even harder baseball bat. Why does the hardness of the baseball bat matter? The answer is simple. The harder the bat, the farther the ball will travel after impact!
