The Chandler AJ99.2 Maple Bat is the same model as the game model used by Superstar Aaron Judge. With a longer, larger barrel than the original AJ99, the AJ99.2’s thick transition and flared knob will have you feeling like The Judge, The Jury, and The Executioner each time you step into the box!
This Chandler AJ99.2 Maple Bat also features a Matte Black XP finish on the handle and barrel. Additionally, this popular bat sports a Gold Chandler Logo.
Maple is known for being a hard, dense wood which provides very hard/solid contact. In addition, it's longevity makes it a popular choice. The Extra Processing finish Chandler uses during manufacturing is more commonly known as "XP". This innovative process cures the bat for an additional three days and gives it a smooth, glossy finish. Because of the extra processing, the XP finish results in a bat with TWICE the hardness.
The XP finish fills in the grain and cavities of the wood, which results in an even harder baseball bat. Why does the hardness of the baseball bat matter? The answer is simple. The harder the bat, the farther the ball will travel after impact!
