Because of the extra processing, the XP finish results in a bat with TWICE the hardness.
The XP finish fills in the grain and cavities of the wood, which results in an even harder baseball bat. Why does the hardness of the baseball bat matter? The answer is simple. The harder the bat, the farther the ball will travel after impact!
